Ever since the first time I stepped into the D&D Building, I have always felt it could benefit from a more modern design scheme. My goal is to use this opportunity to translate this idea into a reality. I envision the hall stripped down bare, with stark concrete flooring, and a richly textured wallcovering from Donghia to lend the perfect amount of warmth to the overall feeling of the space.

18th Floor Hallway Preview

My overall objective for the renovation of the 18th floor hallway is to replace the existing anonymous feeling with a space that is representative of the design-related purpose it serves. To achieve this, I have chosen a scheme that is dead simple, with inspiration originating from the existing macassar ebony door surrounds, which currently announce the William Switzer showroom beyond.
