Twill Textiles the new collection of sophisticated fabrics inspired by the craft of handweaving, is now available to the trade through Holland & Sherry Showroom.
Twill Textiles is the creation of Suzanne Lovell, principal of architectural interior design firm Suzanne Lovell, Inc. and Sam Kasten, master hand weaver of custom fabrics and rugs and founder of Sam Kasten Handweaver based in the Berkshires. Their mutual fascination with the art of hand weaving led them to create a collection of machine-made looms with the same quality and craftsmanship found in hand woven fabrics. Twill offers a collection of more than 20 different wovens suitable for upholstery, drapery and other home furnishings. The line is defined by timeless patterns in soothing, nature-inspired palettes punctuated by rich accent colors. Linen stripes, silk diamond patterns, even simple checks and stries look modern and new in luxurious blends and intricate weaves. Other patterns combine plain weaves with twills or basket weaves to produce fabrics with an unusually soft hand and hand woven appearance. The collection also includes the Climatex® Lifecycle Home Collection: an exclusive group of eco-friendly fabrics designed specifically for residential use. A new collection is currently underway, and is scheduled for a fall 2006 introduction.

Pollack, suite 1722
Classic good looks once again mark JOSEPH NOBLE's new collection. Chic geometry describes both the over-scaled "Hounds" and the angular "Getty Chevron", with bouclé and chenille yarns softening their architectural edge. "Rare" also follows this formula, although here the geometry is old-world and ornate and a matelassé construction adds the cushioned dimension. "Ulysses" and "Maelstrom" offer 2 new woven interpretations of JOSEPH NOBLE's classic swirl pattern and three faux-leathers, "Extinct", "Shagreen II" and "Smooth" balances and expands this collection's provocative range of surface, pattern and color.

Please visit the Fabricut showroom to see this outstanding collection.
Sonia’s Place, suite 1001
Sonia’s Place has two new collections of unusually special significance. An important period in the design world’s history, meant to counter the industrial revolution, was the movement back to natural hand made arts and crafts. Beautifully reflecting that time, and in keeping with the William Morris tradition, is a marvelous new collection from Society Hill Studios called “Arts & Crafts”. Also on display, is a fabulous edition of a decidedly masculine wallcovering collection called “Baritone”. See everything from bold paisleys, stripes and textures to exotic south sea isles, safaris, antique cars and an action polo theme. Wallcoverings and Fabrics for contract applications are always a strong presentation at Sonia’s for the specifier, designer and architect working on retail stores, condo lobbies and hallways, restaurants and institutions. See a greatly expanded array of “Faux Leathers” in colors, embossing and textures that work well be it commercial or residential, and are becoming almost as popular for wall applications as they are for upholstery. Woven natural fibers and grasscloth are still finding there way into a major percentage of commercial and residential applications, especially with the new weaves and color ways. Sunbrella’s newest, including exclusive, collections is on display creating stronger designer demand than ever before. See it all in one place only, Sonia’s Place.

Stroheim, suite 102
Stroheim’s CONNOISSEUR BOTANICAL Collection is a bouquet to the golden age of botanical art. Celebrating the beauty and romance of flora, this collection offers a range of flower motifs that have been dramatically scaled and exquisitely rendered in a rich range of embellishments. Look for Carlota’s Garden Brocade, a luxurious brocade: worthy of a Redouté, it captures Queen Anne’s Lace with a scientist’s eye and an artist’s hand. Queen Anne’s Lace is a hardy, yet delicate flower that inspired Lacemakers for centuries, among them, Queen Anne who reigned in the early 1700s. This wildflower has a long history as a decorative, medicinal and food plant and is attractive to bees, butterflies and interior designers. Visit Stroheim, call 212.486.1500, or go to the web, www.stroheim.com.
Zoffany, suite 409
Zoffany is pleased to present a stunning new fabric collection from SHEILA COOMBES. Minerva, which takes its name from the Roman Goddess of Wisdom and Art, is a spectacular damask woven in a chenille and linen blend constructed to create an aged and luxurious antique effect. Maia, from the Goddess of Growth is an elegant woven chevron stripe and perfectly complements the dramatic scale of Minerva. The contemporary color ways include a lively uplifting red, and a punchy fuchsia offset by a muted, almost raw linen base. Beautiful creams, white and neutrals, plus a refined black ensure Minerva fits into today’s eclectic and diverse interior styles.
